Terms of Service

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use Yoki. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. Provide accurate information when you sign up.

Yoki turns your study materials into structured courses with flashcards, quizzes, a concept map, a knowledge-grounded tutor, and spaced-repetition practice, plus a gamified study experience. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

Yoki uses artificial intelligence to generate study content and tutor answers. AI can be wrong. Generated content may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information, and you should verify anything important against authoritative sources before relying on it. Yoki is a study aid, not a substitute for professional judgment. In particular, content relating to medicine, health, law, finance, or any regulated field is provided for learning only and is not professional, medical, legal, or financial advice. Do not use Yoki to make decisions where being wrong has real consequences.

You keep ownership of the materials you upload and the content you create with Yoki. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display that content solely to operate and provide the Service to you (including sending it to our AI providers to generate your results, as described in our Privacy Policy). You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to the materials you upload and that they do not infringe anyone else's rights.

You agree not to:

• Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you do not have the right to use.
• Attempt to break, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the Service, or bypass its limits and security.
• Use the Service to generate harmful, deceptive, or abusive content, or to violate others' rights.
• Resell or share your account, or use the Service on behalf of others without permission.

Yoki offers a free plan and a paid Pro subscription, plus optional one-time credit packs. Prices are shown at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Credits are a prepaid, in-app balance used for certain actions (such as extra course builds and premium generations). Credits have no cash value, are not transferable, and cannot be exchanged for money. Granted or earned credits may expire; purchased credits do not.

Refunds and the right of withdrawal. Our digital services begin immediately. By purchasing and using a subscription or credits, you ask us to start performance right away and, where applicable, you acknowledge that you lose any statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for the part already used. Beyond that, payments are generally non-refundable except where required by law. Billing is handled by Stripe as merchant of record.

The Yoki name, logo, software, and design are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our brand or software beyond using the Service as intended.

The Service relies on third parties (for example, payments, AI providers, sign-in, hosting). Your use of those features may also be subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.

You can stop using Yoki and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that harms it or other users. On termination, the sections that by their nature should survive (such as content licence, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) continue to apply.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and that generated content is accurate or complete. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Yoki will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on AI-generated content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or 50 EUR. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of Romania will have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We will post the new version here with an updated date, and for material changes we will give reasonable notice. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
